SUMUS is seeking a seasoned Architectural Technologist to deliver technical drawings and construction documents across project phases. You will collaborate with architects, technicians, and engineers, ensuring adherence to codes and building envelope standards.

The role requires a diploma in Architectural Technology and a minimum of 10 years in the industry, with proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite. A hybrid schedule is offered with 3 days in-office per week.

You will actively contribute to a variety of projects, from preliminary design through construction support, working closely with architects, architectural technicians, and other professionals involved. WHAT WILL HELP YOU SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE

• A diploma in Architectural Technology or an equivalent field


• At least 10 years of experience in the industry


• Strong proficiency with industry-standard software, including AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite


• Solid knowledge of building codes, regulations, and building envelope systems


• The ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously


• Strong coordination and communication skills that allow you to work effectively with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal team members

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Produce and update technical drawings, construction documents, and construction details in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and established project guidelines.


• Contribute to the development of plans and specifications throughout the various technical phases of projects.


• Collaborate with architects and senior architectural technicians to identify appropriate solutions to technical challenges.


• Participate in coordinating the various professionals involved in projects, including engineers, consultants, and contractors.


• Take part in coordination meetings, document required follow-ups, and help maintain clear communication among stakeholders.


• Conduct technical and regulatory research to support project development.


• Contribute to schedule tracking and construction cost estimating, as required by the projects.
