Under the authority of the Director – Technical Services and Bus Maintenance, you will be responsible for providing support, advice, and comprehensive assistance in maintenance and servicing of exo's electric bus fleet. You will work closely with transporters and other team members in bus operations. Your focus will be on developing and maintaining strong relationships at all levels of the organization and clients concerning vehicle performance, in line with exo’s mission and organizational values.

Main Responsibilities

  • Advise and assist transporters in performing work on buses, ensuring parts used comply with contracts and estimates;
  • Act as a coach/trainer for transporters to ensure the required quality of intervention on buses;
  • Respond to service calls and travel to sites as needed;
  • Visit transporters regularly to support teams and optimize vehicle availability;
  • Ensure compliance with work procedures during maintenance and servicing activities;
  • Report discrepancies in work performed, document, and follow up accordingly;
  • Ensure adherence to current regulations (RDS, PEP);
  • Verify work orders, report irregularities to transporters;
  • Collaborate with the technical bus team to meet departmental goals;
  • Participate in continuous improvement processes and maintenance initiatives to enhance safety, availability, and reliability of the fleet;
  • Contribute to drafting necessary documentation for maintenance plans, preventive and corrective work, modifications, and updates;
  • Assist in developing training sessions and disseminate training to transporters in collaboration with internal teams;
  • Participate in special projects and problem-solving related to assigned mandates;
  • Collaborate on mandates from the exobus program (electric bus fleet electrification);
  • Contribute to maintenance and servicing strategies;
  • Assist in implementing new work procedures;
  • Represent exo in external working groups upon request.

Normal Requirements

Education

  • College diploma in electrical or mechanical engineering, or a vocational diploma in heavy vehicle mechanics, or relevant experience considered equivalent to a college diploma.
  • Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of practical and technical experience in urban transportation or a relevant field;
  • Experience as a technical trainer is an asset.
  • Skills and Abilities

  • Experience in customer support, repair, and diagnostics;
  • Ability to build and develop partnership relationships based on collaboration;
  • Strong teamwork skills and excellent interpersonal skills;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify information;
  • Discretion and good judgment in communication, with impeccable customer approach;
  • Autonomy, initiative, openness, agility, and transparency;
  • Fluent in French, both spoken and written;
  • Functional understanding of English (reading);
  • Knowledge of public transportation operations is an asset;
  • Knowledge of electric buses is an asset;
  • Must own a vehicle and hold a valid driver’s license (Class 5) for required travel.
  • Working Conditions

    Full-time permanent position, 37.5 hours per week.

    Work Location

    Head office, 1001 boulevard Robert-Bourassa, 26th floor, Montreal, QC, H3B 4L4.

    Regular travel within the network to various garages and suppliers is expected.
