As an Airport Security Service Technician, you will be a part of a team providing service on The Canadian Air Transport Security Authority’s (CATSA) passenger screening equipment at airports across Canada. This includes service such as the installation, repair, and maintenance of passenger screening systems. Specific and complete in-class and hands-on training will be provided to support you in your role. The ideal candidate will possess a base knowledge of mechanical / electronics technical skills and take pride in putting out high quality workmanship.

Primary Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

  • Provide service, installation, repair and maintenance of electrical / mechanical systems and equipment
  • Order, receive and return parts as required

Education / Skills Requirements :

  • Graduate of technical school, military training in electronics engineering technology, and / or related trade certification required
  • Experience in a field service environment with direct experience in x-ray, screening technologies, and / or knowledge of complex mechanical systems is highly desirable
  • Computer literacy and aptitude for learning specialized software programs
  • Motivated, self-starter with strong communication skills (English Fluency is mandatory. French fluency would be an asset)
  • Excellent customer interface and communication skills, both verbal and written are required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Applications and Operating Systems

Physical Requirements :

  • Possess strong hands-on abilities, manual dexterity, physical strength, and stamina
  • Capability to sit, stand for prolonged periods, walk, climb, reach, bend and maneuver around equipment and work areas is required
  • Some lifting of weight up to 50 lbs / 23 kgs

  • Pass a Government of Canada security background checks for high level security clearance

Celle-ci est composée d'un mélange de techniciens de différents niveaux travaillant en rotation pour soutenir cet aéroport et ses satellites, et nous voulons que vous en fassiez partie.
