Job summary

JLL is seeking a skilled Building Technician to join our East Montreal property management team. You will help ensure the smooth operation of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and safety systems across our portfolio, while addressing tenant requests through the PRISME platform and performing general maintenance tasks.

In this role, you’ll inspect buildings, report anomalies, coordinate with contractors, and uphold high safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in building maintenance and ability to work independently.
• Strong initiative and problem-solving skills.
• Bilingual in French and English (oral & written).
• Team-oriented with excellent interpersonal skills and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper functioning of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and personal safety systems.
• Respond to tenant service requests through the PRISME platform and perform general maintenance tasks.
• Monitor contracted work, report anomalies, and ensure compliance with building standards.
• Conduct building inspections and repairs (door hardware, plastering, painting, ceiling/floor tiles, and other base building maintenance).
• Maintain order and cleanliness in maintenance areas and regularly inspect security systems (alarm systems, emergency lights, fire extinguishers, sprinklers).
• Manage key systems and access control while updating Risk Check and validating with the operations team.
• Participate in operational and occupational health and safety meetings, conduct rounds, and implement necessary corrections.

Technicien(ne) en bâtiment – JLL

Ce que ce poste implique :

JLL est à la recherche d’un(e) Technicien(ne) en bâtiment compétent(e) et fiable pour rejoindre son équipe de gestion immobilière de classe mondiale. En tant que leader mondial des services immobiliers commerciaux, JLL s’engage à offrir des performances exceptionnelles des bâtiments et des expériences locataires remarquables. Dans ce rôle, vous serez responsable d’assurer le bon fonctionnement des systèmes du bâtiment, de répondre aux besoins des locataires et de maintenir des normes élevées de sécurité et de fonctionnalité dans notre portefeuille de l’est de Montréal. Ce poste offre l’opportunité de travailler avec des systèmes de gestion de bâtiment de pointe tout en contribuant directement à la satisfaction des locataires et à l’excellence opérationnelle.

À quoi ressemblera votre quotidien :

• Veiller au bon fonctionnement des systèmes mécaniques, électriques, de plomberie, de protection contre les incendies et de sécurité des personnes
• Répondre aux demandes de services des locataires à travers la plateforme PRISME et exécuter les tâches d’entretien général suivant les besoins
• Surveiller les travaux confiés à forfait, rapporter les anomalies et assurer le respect des normes du bâtiment
• Inspecter le bâtiment sous tous les angles de fonctionnement (intérieur et extérieur) et exécuter les travaux de quincaillerie de portes, plâtrage, peinture, tuiles de plafond/plancher et autres réparations intérieures de base
• Maintenir l’ordre et la propreté dans les locaux de maintenance et inspecter régulièrement les systèmes de sécurité (systèmes d’alarmes, lumières d’urgence, extincteurs, gicleurs)
• Gérer le système de clés et système d’accès tout en assurant la mise à jour de Risk Check et la validation avec l’équipe d’opération
• Participer aux réunions opérationnelles et de SST, faire les tournées SST et effectuer les correctifs nécessaires

Qualifications requises :

• Expérience en entretien d’immeubles avec capacité démontrée à travailler de manière autonome
• Sens de l’initiative et de la débrouillardise avec capacité prouvée à mener plusieurs tâches de front et à résoudre des problèmes de manière indépendante
• Bilingue, français et anglais*, tant à l’oral qu’à l’écrit
• Capacité à travailler en équipe avec grande facilité dans les relations humaines et soucis du service à la clientèle
• Capacité physique de passer la majorité du temps debout ou à marcher avec déplacements fréquents et aptitude à soulever et transporter fréquemment de l’équipement et des outils
• Disponibilité en rotation les soirs et fins de semaine pour les appels d’urgence
• Ce poste est à 100% en présentiel

Qualifications préférées :

• Détenir un DEP en entretien général d’immeubles
• Aptitudes mécaniques et compétences techniques
• Familiarité avec les divers logiciels de la suite Microsoft Office
• Avoir une voiture pour le déplacement facile entre les propriétés du portefeuille (kilométrage remboursé)

Required Qualifications:

• Experience in building maintenance with demonstrated ability to work independently
• Strong sense of initiative and resourcefulness with proven ability to multitask and solve problems autonomously
• Bilingual proficiency in French and English*, both oral and written
• Ability to work in a team with excellent interpersonal skills and customer service orientation
• Physical capability to spend majority of time standing or walking with frequent movement and ability to lift and carry equipment and tools regularly
• Availability on rotation for evenings and weekends for emergency calls
• This position is 100% on-site

Preferred Qualifications:

• Diploma (DEP) or certification in general building maintenance
• Mechanical aptitude and technical skills
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite software
• Access to a personal vehicle for travel between portfolio properties (mileage reimbursed)
