Job summary

An established industry player is seeking a motivated student to join their laboratory team for the summer of 2025. Univar Solutions Canada, the world's leading distributor of chemicals and ingredients, is seeking a student to join our laboratory team for summer 2025.

Rémunération: $19.00 / hour

Horaire de travail: Quart de soir (13h00 à 21h00) du lundi au vendredi

Responsibilities:
  • Knowledge of chemicals (an asset)
  • Perform volumetric analyses (titration)
  • Conduct chromatography analysis (training provided)
  • Water analysis using Karl-Fisher method
  • Identification using FT-IR
  • Refractive index measurement
  • Specific gravity measurement
  • Sample management
  • Cleaning glassware
  • Other assigned tasks
Qualifications:
  • Completed at least 4 college-level sessions in "Laboratory, analytical chemistry profile" OR at least 2 university-level sessions in chemistry
  • Good communication skills in French and English
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Organizational skills and sense of responsibility
  • Training will be on-the-job from 8h00 to 16h00, then the candidate will start on the scheduled shift.
