Job summary

Acara Solutions, partnering with Alstom, is looking for a hands-on maintenance professional to support electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and automated systems in a highly technical industrial environment.

You will diagnose complex equipment failures, read electrical and mechanical drawings, perform preventive and corrective maintenance, and collaborate with maintenance, production, and engineering teams to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• DEP or equivalent in a technical field related to electromechanics.
• 2+ years in industrial maintenance, troubleshooting, or electromechanical investigation.
• Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and automated systems.
• Ability to diagnose complex equipment failures and identify root causes.
• Experience reading electrical/mechanical drawings and technical documentation.
• Hands-on preventive and corrective maintenance experience.
• Good communication and documentation of corrective actions.
• Commitment to safety and following procedures.
• Bilingual French and English is an asset.

What You’ll Bring:

What Sets You Apart:

• Experience investigating recurring equipment failures and implementing permanent corrective actions.
• Experience working with automated production equipment, PLCs, sensors, motors, drives, conveyors, and other industrial systems.
• Experience using CMMS/GMAO systems to document maintenance activities.
• Previous experience in manufacturing, transportation, rail, or another complex industrial environment.
• Strong troubleshooting mindset with the ability to work methodically under pressure.
• Experience working closely with production teams to minimize equipment downtime.
• Leadership or team-lead experience is considered an asset.
• Bilingual French and English is an asset.
• A positive, proactive, hands-on attitude and strong interest in learning and developing within a global organization.
