Qualifications

  • At least one year of wind experience or 2-3 years of transferable mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical work experience.

A DAY IN THE LIFE AT VESTAS

In this position, you will use your skills and experience to perform planned service, fault analysis/assessment and potential for work on large components or wind turbine blades.On a typical day, you will work at heights and in confined spaces, while being exposed to the elements of weather.At this new wind farm, near Rivière-du-Loup, QC, you will generally work shifts 5 days a week, 8-10 hours a day,you also have an on-call rotation schedule for off-work hours (weekends).The crew will work in shifts of 2-3 technicians and will typically climb 1-2 turbines per day and travel at least 25% per year. This is a new site and during the initial 12 months or so you will be required to travel to other Vestas sites for on-the-job training, costs will be covered by Vestas.

✓ You will need a safety-focused mindset and can identify solutions to issues utilizing a process of elimination.

✓ Your positive attitude will contribute to your ability to work in a team environment, while being motivated and taking initiative in daily tasks.

✓ Youwill have computer skills including email, Excel, Microsoft systems, as well as Teams, and data entry into our systems.

✓ You must have a high school diploma or equivalent as well as at least one year of wind experience or 2-3 years of transferable mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical work experience.
