Job summary

Infasco is seeking a Calibration and Instrumentation Technician for its Marieville, QC site. You will monitor calibration status, plan calibrations, and perform calibration work on process instruments and scales.

Training of electrotechnicians may be required to support position tasks. The role includes responsibilities for maintaining calibration certificates, tracking external calibration needs, and entering work orders into maintenance software.

Qualifications

  • DEP or DEC in related field with hands-on automation training.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in calibration/Instrumentation.
  • Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail required.

Infasco is seeking a Calibration and Instrumentation Technician
Position Summary

Under the supervision of the Quality Control Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for monitoring, planning, and executing activities related to the calibration and adjustment of process instruments, in compliance with internal and regulatory requirements.

SCHEDULE

Day shift (7:00 AM to 3:00 PM), Monday to Friday.

Your Main Responsibilities:
  • Monitor the list of electrical process instruments in the Gagetrack database, including keeping calibration status up to date;
  • Plan upcoming calibrations;
  • Calibrate equipment for which the employee is authorized and qualified;
  • Replace expired or out-of-calibration process thermocouples in the plant;
  • Perform Thermal Uniformity Surveys (TUS);
  • Monitor system accuracy tests (heat treatment) and train relevant operators;
  • Ensure compliance of calibration certificates received from external suppliers;
  • Track equipment requiring external calibration;
  • Follow up and assist external firm employees in calibrating scales. Occasionally, the employee will also perform calibration work on scales;
  • Train electrotechnicians as needed so they can perform tasks related to the position when required;
  • Track and enter work orders into the maintenance software (Interal) as needed;
  • Perform any other related tasks.
Your Profile
  • DEP in Electromechanics of Automated Systems or DEC in Electrical Engineering Technology - Automation and Control, or any equivalent training;
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience;
  • Good manual dexterity;
  • Proficiency with computer tools and good knowledge of the Office suite;
  • Attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to respond quickly to operational needs;
  • Reliability and dependability.
