Job description

Brandt is currently seeking Field Service Technicians for our Laval Construction & Forestry location.

This position is responsible for the repair and maintenance of construction and forestry equipment and attachments in a shop environment.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, diagnose, assemble / disassemble, order parts for, and repair heavy-duty equipment efficiently and effectively.
  • Use tools, equipment, and computer systems safely and efficiently.
  • Document all machine information, actions taken, and time on work orders accurately and completely.
  • Assess service task hazards and ensure work is performed safely and according to standards.
  • Use applications like John Deere Service Advisor for maintenance documentation, inspection, and diagnosis.
  • Use parts catalogues to locate and order parts.
  • Road test equipment and check attachments as needed.

Skills and Experience

  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, team, and branch personnel.
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Physical capability to perform heavy lifting (up to 23 kg), climbing, and other physical tasks.
  • Qualifications

  • Previous experience in heavy machinery / mechanical field preferred.
  • Certified Journeyperson or apprentice in heavy duty equipment trade preferred.
