Qualifications

Job description
Overview

Technician role : Automotive Service Technician. Location : Laval, Quebec. Dealership : BMW MINI Laval. Company : AutoCanada.

Note : This position is full-time, on-site. Employment language : English and French as indicated in the job description.

Responsibilities
  • Perform vehicle repair and / or maintenance work as specified on the repair order (RO) efficiently and accurately, in accordance with dealer and OEM standards.
  • Communicate regularly with parts and service advisors to manage production / repairs, cycle times, and customer communication.
  • Perform multi-point inspections and provide appropriate repair recommendations to ensure safety and reliability before returning the vehicle to the customer.
  • Document all work on the RO by creating a repair history, complying with OEM standards and ensuring warranty payments are covered by the manufacturer.
  • Maintain inventory of common tools not typically inventoried by the service department as stock-issued equipment.
  • Stay current with factory technical bulletins and attend factory-sponsored training courses as required.
  • Deliver an exceptional repair experience to build customer loyalty and increase department revenue.
Must-Haves / Qualifications
  • Solid knowledge of various makes and models.
  • Provincially recognized automotive mechanic certificate (completed or in progress).
  • CPA (Comité paritaire de l’industrie des services automobiles) card.
  • Red Seal certification is an asset.
  • Completion of a related post-secondary program or training courses.
  • Professional attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
