Job summary

Primo Brands Corporation in Nicolet, QC is seeking a production operator to ensure efficient operation of designated equipment on the morning shift. You will remove bottles from racks, feed the conveyor, inspect for contaminants, relabel, and assist with start-up and maintenance while following safety policies.

Must have production experience in a food/beverage setting, strong safety focus, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Production experience in food/beverage preferred.
• Strong focus on safety and quality while working efficiently.
• Able to work alone or in a team.
• Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds safely.
• Forklift experience required at some locations.
• Willing to work flexible hours and some weekends.
• Must inspect materials visually and by smell.
• PPE: safety shoes, hair nets, goggles, ear plugs.

Responsibilities

• Operate production equipment safely and efficiently.
• Move bottles from racks to conveyor to meet output goals.
• Visually inspect and remove foreign objects; perform odor tests.
• Relabel and tag bottles as needed.
• Sort and move bottles from delivery trucks.
• Start-up, operation, changeover, shutdown and preventive maintenance of equipment.
• Adhere to safety policies including lockout/tagout.
• Clean up the plant and maintain 5S standards.

Pay: $19.21 - $20.21 / hour ($20.21 / hour after sixty (60) days worked)

Sign On Bonus: $1000 paid after 6 months of employment - Sign on bonus eligibility applies only to new hires who have not been previously employed by the company, its affiliates, or its predecessors.

Schedule: Monday to Thursday 7:30 AM - 2:00 PM

Responsibilities

• This position is responsible for the efficient operation of designated production equipment as assigned.
• Removing bottles from racks and putting them on the conveyor to meet production and quality objectives.
• Visually inspecting and removing foreign objects from bottles. Performing odor tests and discarding contaminated bottles.
• Relabel and tag bottles with handle tags.
• Sort and lift empty and full bottles from delivery trucks.
• Responsible for start-up, operation, change over, shut down and preventative maintenance of assigned production equipment. Equipment may include production line equipment, forklifts or other power equipment.
• Operate all assigned equipment safely and efficiently following the Company Safety Policy, including the lock out/tag out process.
• Provide general plant, production line and facility clean up (5S).

Qualifications

• Production experience, preferably in a food and beverage environment.
• Focus on safe work practices and high quality while executing duties with a sense of urgency.
• Work efficiently self-directed or in a team environment.
• Physically able to safely lift bottles and equipment weighingup to 50 pounds.
• Forklift experience (required in some locations).
• Ability to work flexible hours and occasional weekends (depending on location).
• Ability to inspect materials visually and by sense of smell.
• PPE Required (safety shoes, hair nets, goggles, ear plugs).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Regularly works around moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions (depending on location) that include inclement weather, heat, and humidity. The noise level may be loud at times.

Candidates must possess strong French language skills to effectively communicate with customers and provide exceptional service. Proficiency in French is essential for understanding customer needs, resolving inquiries, and collaborating with team members.
