Mechanical Maintenance Technician (replacement basin)

Bunge is seeking for a Mechanical Maintenance Technician (replacement basin) for its Oilseed Processing facility located in Becancour.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete regular preventive maintenance on all mechanical equipment according to established schedules, codes and procedures.
• Troubleshoot, repair and install mechanical equipment/parts in accordance with established procedures in a timely manner and with minimum downtime or disruption to production.
• Follows instructions on responsibilities and daily expectations from supervisor and is assigned to loading and unloading trucks and railcars.
• Assists the production department in all tasks related to the preparation, extraction and refinery operations.
• Performs housekeeping tasks and maintains a clean and safe work environment.
• Ensure his own safety and the safety of others by adopting a proactive attitude and by respecting the rules, policies and procedures in terms of health and safety at work.
• Ensure food safety and environmental procedures are followed at all times.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Ability to read and work from blue prints and make basic changes/suggestions to copies of drawings or manuals.
• Basic understanding of welding (MIG, ARC, Plasma, Torch).
• Experience in driving mobile equipment.
• Ability to work in a safety sensitive environment (work at heights, confined space, chemical products, etc)
• Ability to work on 12-hour shifts, on a rotation day/night.

Education and Qualifications:

• Minimum of two (2) years maintenance experience in a processing environment.

Equivalent combinations of education and experience that result in the required level of knowledge skill and competence will be considered.

unge est à la recherche d’un Technicien d’entretien mécanique (bassin de remplacement) pour son usine de transformation de graines oléagineuses de Bécancour.

Principales responsabilités:

• Effectue une maintenance préventive régulière sur tous les équipements mécaniques conformément aux calendriers et procédures établis.
• Dépanne, répare et installe des équipements / pièces mécaniques conformément aux procédures établies et avec un temps d'arrêt minimum pour éviter les pertes au niveau de la production.
• Suit les instructions sur les responsabilités et les attentes quotidiennes émanant du superviseur et est affecté à des tâches de chargement et de déchargement de camions et wagons.
• Aider à la production dans toutes les tâches reliées à l’usine de préparation, d’extraction et de raffinerie.
• Entretien ménager: maintenir et conserver un environnement de travail propre et sécuritaire.
• Veille à sa sécurité et celle de ses collègues en adoptant une attitude proactive et en respectant les règles, politiques et procédures en matière de santé et sécurité au travail.
• S’assure, dans l’exécution de ses taches, du respect des procédures de sécurité alimentaire et de protection de l’environnement.

Connaissances et compétences:

• Compétences éprouvées en analyse et résolution de problèmes.
• Capacité à lire et à travailler à partir d’un plan et apporter des modifications / suggestions de base à ceux-ci.
• Compétence de base en soudure (MIG, ARC, Plasma, Torche).
• Expérience dans la conduite d’équipement mobile (ex: chariot élévateur, nacelle, etc.)
• Apte à travailler dans un environnement de travail à risques (travaux en hauteur, espace clos, produits chimiques, etc.)
• Apte à travailler sur les quarts de travail de 12 heures, en rotation jour et nuit.

Éducation et qualifications:

• Minimum de deux (2) années d'expérience en maintenance dans un environnement industriel.
• DEP en mécanique industrielle ou équivalent.

Des combinaisons équivalentes d’éducation et d’expérience donnant lieu au niveau requis de connaissances et de compétences seront considérées.
