Perform vehicle maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs efficiently and accurately.
Identify the source of mechanical concerns and complete repairs to manufacturer standards.
Conduct vehicle safety inspections.
Perform road tests as required.
Inspect vehicles to identify any additional maintenance or repair requirements.
Prepare accurate, prioritized recommendations for additional repairs.
Communicate repair procedures and recommendations clearly with the Service Advisor.
Continuously evaluate work practices to improve efficiency and productivity.
Ensure compliance with all applicable safety regulations and dealership policies.
Support the Service Department in providing an outstanding customer experience.
Keep the Service Advisor informed throughout the repair process, including delays, additional work required, and vehicle completion.
Accurately document inspection findings, diagnostics, and completed repairs.
Participate in manufacturer and dealership training programs.
Stay current with Ford products, technology, and repair procedures.
Maintain a high level of technical and mechanical knowledge.
Keep informed of new vehicle features and industry developments.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Present a professional appearance at all times.
Work collaboratively with fellow technicians, advisors, and dealership staff.
Contribute to a positive, respectful team environment.
Valid Automotive Service Technician (310S) Certificate of Qualification.
Ozone Depletion Prevention (ODP) Certificate.
Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record.
Minimum two (2) years of experience as an Automotive Service Technician preferred.
Previous Ford or dealership experience is considered an asset.
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to operate both manual and automatic transmission vehicles.
