Job description

Reporting to the Team Leader of Farm Technical Processing, you will be responsible for contributing to achieving the Farm service targets, by proactively and consistently working through farm requests from a service que. You will be accountable for your individual work list by maintaining organized and efficient work habits and providing exceptional customer service to our broker partners and Regional Underwriting teams. Also supporting a once and done environment and completing tasks in designated timeframes.

What can you expect in this role?

  • Farm Underwriting Technician is a processing role specializing in farm property risks.
  • This role will require you to work within your authority and our company guidelines to process complex tasks received from the brokers, and providing support to the Farm Underwriting team
  • Develop and apply knowledge ofEconomical’sproduct offerings, risk types, and processes
  • Demonstrating a strong understanding of Underwriting manuals, guidelines, and standard operating procedures
  • Contributing to achieving defined Service Level Agreements and Operating Level Agreements
  • Meeting high quality and production expectations on a regular basis
  • Ensuring compliance with our corporate guidelines and information is captured accurately in the relevant policy administration system(s)
  • Supporting other general office duties as required

What do you bring to the role?

  • Completed University Degree or College Diploma and relevant work experience
  • Preference will be given to candidates with a post-secondary degree, diploma, or CIP designation, or who have experience in a commercial underwriting support role
  • Professional, friendly, and courteous in all interactions, both within the company and our broker partners
  • Able to prioritize day-to-day tasks, working efficiently to complete work within outlined time frames
  • Perform well in a busy environment and remain calm under pressure

  • Strong computer skills including previous experience in working in case management tools, portals or databases will be an asset

Salary range is: $40,200 - $69,400
