Job summary

TransX Ltd. in Winnipeg is seeking a Trailer Technician to join our maintenance team.

You will perform preventative maintenance and repairs on the TransX fleet, diagnose issues found during inspections, and prescribe corrective actions in coordination with service writers and other technicians. Candidates should have 4–5 years of trailer technician experience and hold Red Seal Certification or be able to complete Trailer CVIP certification.

Qualifications

• 4–5 years of experience as a Trailer Technician.
• Red Seal Certification or ability to complete Trailer CVIP certification.
• Knowledge of maintenance, inspections, and basic structural repairs.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on TransX fleet.
• Diagnose problems found during inspections and prescribe remedial action.
• Coordinate with Service Writer and other Technicians to complete work in a timely manner.

Job description

Shift:Monday to Thursday 04:00 PM - 02:30 AM

The Trailer Technicians will work in conjunction with the Service Writer and the other Technicians to complete preventative maintenance and repairs on the TransX fleet in a timely and efficient manner by diagnosing problems found during inspections and prescribing the correct remedial action.

• Hourly Rate Range: $32.00 - $35.00
• Additional hourly premiums available (shift ad skill-based) ($1.50/hr)
• $500.00 Tool and PPE allowance
• 25-40 hours of annual training and supportseducation reimbursement

Qualifications:

• 4 to 5 years of experience as a Trailer Technician
• Must have Red Seal Certification or at minimum to be able to complete Trailer CVIP certification
• Knowledge of common occupational skills
• Conducts PMs, wheel re-torques, general maintenance and inspections, minor structural repairs, panel and scuff liner repairs, has experience in torch and welding capabilities, performs brake work, tire work, and wheel-end repairs to suspension and related parts, has some knowledge of structural repairs, and can diagnose ABS system and can perform wheel seal replacement.
