Job Title: Manufacturing Production Technician

Manufactures product as per company requirements under the guidance of a Production Supervisor within a team environment. The Production Technician is responsible for the sanitation, set-up, operation, and changeover of assigned production equipment and area. Follows all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Standard Operating Documents (SODs), Safe Work Practices (SWPs), company policies, and industry regulations. Remains aligned with Apotex’s business drivers and core competencies.

Job Responsibilities
  • Supports our Corporate Values of Collaboration, Courage, Perseverance, and Passion; demonstrates strong support of these values.
  • Ensures all work complies with regulatory, safety, and quality requirements.
  • Participates actively in team meetings and activities.
  • Accurately completes all documentation such as POMs and Logbooks in a timely manner.
  • Reports any deviations, defects, safety incidents, or issues to the supervisor or senior staff.
  • Sets up and operates equipment safely within specifications, providing detailed feedback on issues.
  • Performs changeovers and communicates equipment problems to mechanics.
  • Conducts in-process checks during packaging.
  • Operates electronic or computerized control panels.
  • Controls process start-up, shutdown, troubleshooting, and adjusts equipment as needed.
  • Prepares process units or equipment for maintenance.
  • Loads and unloads components as required.
  • Performs hand cartoning and shrink-wrap packing when necessary.
  • Operates power lift trucks to move materials and finished products.
  • Cleans rooms and equipment according to SODs, documenting actions appropriately.
  • Maintains proper housekeeping and waste disposal practices.
  • Works safely and collaboratively to achieve team goals.
  • Demonstrates behaviors aligned with organizational values.
  • Adheres to all compliance programs, including ethics, quality, safety, and HR policies.
  • Performs other relevant duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
  • Education: Minimum secondary school diploma or recognized equivalent.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Proficient in English comprehension and writing; able to follow instructions; basic math skills; physical ability to lift 20 kg; manual dexterity; team-oriented with positive attitude; good time management.
  • Experience: Manufacturing experience is an asset.
