Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic Technician, Product Launch to focus on scaling up and operationalizing new cannabis products and extensions for Aurora’s channels in Canada and globally.

Responsibilities include:

  • Implementing processes for product scale-up within Aurora’s facilities, covering various product forms such as dried flower, pre-rolls, extracts, edibles, etc.
  • Designing validation trials, troubleshooting, and refining production processes.
  • Coordinating with production planning and operations for trial execution.
  • Analyzing product samples using analytical chemistry techniques.
  • Processing data, presenting results, and documenting procedures.
  • Developing SOPs and documentation for product launch and manufacturing.
  • Collaborating with engineering and procurement for equipment setup and calibration.
  • Innovating packaging in compliance with regulations for both recreational and medical markets.
  • Performing other related duties as needed.

Qualifications:

  • B.Sc in Food Science, Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, B.Eng, or related field.
  • Experience in cannabis, pharma, or related industries preferred.
  • Knowledge of extraction technologies (butane, ethanol, solventless, etc.) is an asset.

Ideal candidate traits:

  • Expertise in analytical chemistry instrumentation (HPLC, LC-MS, GC-MS) is an asset.
  • Passion for cannabis and understanding of the supply chain from ideation to commercialization.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, troubleshoot, and work independently.
  • Knowledge of regulations and experience in a regulated environment is a plus.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Illustrator, and understanding of 3PL, supply chain, and distribution is beneficial.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills; proficient in Microsoft Office.
