A leading mining company is seeking a Technician in Metallurgy & Technology for a temporary role in Trail, Canada. The position involves conducting technical investigations, providing plant support, and developing operating procedures. Ideal candidates will have a relevant technical degree and at least 3 years of experience with metallurgical processes. The role offers an hourly rate of $45 and focuses on teamwork and safety leadership.
Reporting to the Superintendent, Process Optimization or designate, the Technician, Metallurgy & Technology - Temporary, is responsible for conducting technical investigations that contribute to the development and improvement of operating plant processes and process control across all plants in Trail Operations. The role involves evaluating potential future flowsheet modifications, providing technical assistance on operating and maintenance problems, and working both independently and as part of a team. The work primarily focuses on non-routine tasks and requires adaptability to shifting priorities.
Please note that the work schedule may vary, including combinations of 5x2 and/or 4x4 days/nights or other continuous operation schedules during piloting/test trials.
Hourly Rate: $45.00/hour
