About the role

The Lubrication Technician role offers the opportunity for you to be responsible for the management of lubrication activities in the mill including greasing, lubrication handling/storage, contamination control and oil/changes sampling.

The roster will be 5 days on, 2 days off and 4 days on, 3 days off (9.5 hours). This is a local residential role. We offer a competitive salary, bonus structure and future growth.

Key result areas will include:

• Complete lubrication routes which include greasing, oil changes/sampling, contamination control and overall non-invasive inspection of machinery.
• Identify opportunities to improve the lubrication of machinery with assistance of OEM, lubricant suppliers and technical staff.
• Maintain lubrication room equipment including grease guns, autogreasers, filter carts and other associated equipment.
• Regenerate desiccant media.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of machine lubrication.
• Manage oil analysis sampling program including remedial measures that are within skillset.
• Assist with parts staging of weekly scheduled mill maintenance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

About you

As the Lubrication Technician, you will have a Secondary School Graduation Diploma/GED.

It is also important that you have/can demonstrate:

• Experience in an industrial setting.
• Ability to read and understand installation, maintenance and operating manuals.
• Decent mechanical aptitude and knowledge.
• Ability to work safely around operating machinery in an industrial setting.
• Ability to use MS Office suite of products.
• Reasonable troubleshooting skills.
• Good problem-solving ability.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to comprehend and follow operating manuals manufacturer instructions.
• Cooperative, flexible team player.
