Required Responsibilities
- Act as a safety partner by intervening when unsafe acts are practiced. Promote and demonstrate safe behavior and practices. Assist Site and QSE management in determining RCAs and corrective actions for investigations.
- Complete all safety training assigned. Serve as a resource for junior technicians when questions arise.
- Utilize all PPE as required by Work Instructions and QSE Manual. Provide input regarding any discrepancies found in Work Instructions or PPE sheets.
- Support continuous improvement activities, including the development of best practices.
- Build and maintain effective internal partnerships. Refer complex issues or customer inquiries to higher-level technical staff or management, always demonstrating good customer focus to improve satisfaction and loyalty.
- Navigate and input all required data through MyTime, MyTask, and different cost allocations (e.g., SO's).
- Access and use online tools (e.g., Toolkit, SAP, VOB, VGA, VIS, VTM, etc.).
- Understand how dashboards impact the site (alarms, warnings, fleet, service orders, labor efficiency, etc.).
- Use Insite Toolbox effectively.
- Perform basic troubleshooting and mentorship.
- Follow Work Instructions and propose adjustments or improvements as needed (e.g., PTP).
- Manage TSL and CIR entries and follow-ups.
- Support specialty jobs (e.g., crane work, CIM projects).
- Utilize available tools for growth and learning, supporting team development.
- Promote a positive team environment across departments and mentor lower-level staff.
Qualifications Required
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum two (2) years of technical wind industry experience OR in absence of wind experience, at least three (3) years of experience in hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, or composite skills OR 2 years of wind experience with a Wind Technician program certificate.
- Internal candidate training/certification: LOTO II, D-Service, TBC Core 100 & 200, and Turbine-specific 100 & 200.
- External candidates must complete required training within 6 months.
- Intermediate knowledge of industrial safety practices (e.g., Confined Space, Lock Out Tag Out).
- Experience with electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems and tools (e.g., multimeters, hydraulic pressure gauges). Ability to train others in these areas.
- Valid driver's license; passport preferred.
- Willingness to travel and work flexible hours as required.
- Ability to read and interpret basic drawings and schematics.

Competencies Required
- Ability to climb stairs and ladders up to 125 meters (400 feet).
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry items up to 50 lbs.
- Proficiency in walking, standing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, and bending.
- Manual dexterity with repetitive motion tasks.
- Ability to work in demanding weather conditions.
- Comfort working remotely as part of a team with limited supervision.
- Total weight with PPE should not exceed 300 lbs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
- Reliable attendance and valid driver's license.
