Position: Technician I - Multibrand / Repair

This is a traveling position that would be based in and around your geographical region. We are hiring all of Canada, and you could also potentially travel throughout North America (MI, NY, ME).

A DAY IN THE LIFE

In this position, you’ll use your skills and experience to perform major correctives on a wide variety of wind turbine platforms/brands. During a typical day, you will work at heights and in confined spaces while being exposed to the elements of weather. This is a regional travel position, requiring up to 90% travel per year. You will travel throughout the region in which you are located with potential travel to other provinces across Canada, if needed. You will be based out of one of several Vestas sites in Canada.

  1. You will need a safety-focused mindset.
  2. Your positive attitude will contribute to your ability to work in a team environment while being motivated and taking initiative in daily tasks.
  3. You must have a high school diploma or equivalent and you will bring at least 1 year of wind experience or a wind certificate or transferable mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical work background.
  4. Lead and perform component retrofits and upgrades and experience calling cranes, tracking time, tooling, parts, daily logs, and all Vestas assets accurately on a daily basis.
