Job description

We invite applications for the position of:

Technician - Hardware/Software

Under the supervision of the Learning Technology Manager and the Administration Zone Coordinator, the Technician - Hardware/Software is responsible for maintaining computer networks, configuring and maintaining computers including servers, workstations, laptops, and tablets such as Chromebooks and iPads. The role also involves training staff and providing software support.

Qualifications:

  • College diploma or university degree in computer science or equivalent work experience (minimum 5 years);
  • Technical certificates or equivalent Microsoft technology training;
  • Strong understanding of current Windows operating systems;
  • Experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining micro-computers, including Chromebooks and peripherals;
  • Knowledge of educational and administrative software, including cloud-based apps like GSuite and O365, with troubleshooting skills;
  • Experience with imaging software and techniques;
  • Training or experience with enterprise networks and Wi-Fi technologies.

  • Document technical procedures and processes;
  • Align with the organization's goals and objectives;
  • Deliver high-quality customer service;
  • Complete required health and safety training.

This is a permanent full-time position, starting as soon as possible, working 40 hours per week. The wage rate is $39.46 per hour, plus a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, disability insurance, and a pension plan.
