Job description

We are looking for a mechanical design technician to join our engineering team. Reporting to the Head Designer, Vehicle Engineering, you will have a major impact on the design, development and validation of various mechanical systems for recreational vehicles.

YOU’LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

  1. Creating the technical drawings needed for the manufacture of new vehicles;
  2. Participating in the development of components and ensuring prototype production monitoring;
  3. Collaborating with the team’s designers and engineers in the problem-solving process;
  4. Creating tracking files to optimize project advancement.

YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

  1. You have a DCS or a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
  2. You have experience in 3D modeling and surface design.
  3. You have a keen sense of mechanics and good 3D visualization.
  4. You know how to use software, such as Catia V5 or SolidWorks.
  5. You know the geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) standards.
  6. You find creative solutions to the problems you encounter.
  7. You are known for being innovative.
  8. You are a fan of BRP’s recreational products.
