Job description

We're looking for a Mechanical Designer to join our Ski-Doo Engineering team. This role will allow you to use your creativity and mechanical sense to develop parts and systems. You'll have a major impact on the design, development, and validation of various projects.

YOU’LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:
  1. Create the technical drawings needed for the manufacture of new vehicles;
  2. Participate in the development of components and monitor prototype production;
  3. Collaborate with the team’s designers and engineers in problem-solving;
  4. Create tracking files to optimize project progress.
YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:
  1. DEC or BAC in mechanical engineering or relevant design experience;
  2. A keen sense of mechanics and good 3D visualization skills;
  3. Knowledge of design software such as Catia V5 or SolidWorks;
  4. Good communication skills in French and English (written and spoken). English is required for reading technical and regulatory documentation and communicating with international suppliers;
  5. Knowledge of dimensional and geometric tolerance standards (GD&T);
  6. Curiosity and ingenuity to find creative solutions to problems.
