Job summary

Westwood Honda, part of The Dick Irwin Group Ltd., is seeking an Automotive Service Technician for our Service Department in British Columbia. The role offers a stable, long-term position with opportunities for growth in a state-of-the-art facility.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, at least 2 years of industry experience, and a valid BC driver’s license. Honda experience is an asset. Willingness to work at both Port Moody and Maple Ridge locations is required.

Qualifications

• Extremely organized and excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as a team.
• Valid BC driver's license with clean abstract.
• At least 2 years of industry experience.
• Candidates must be willing to work out of both the Port Moody and Maple Ridge locations, based on business needs.
• Honda experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Perform repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards and manufacturer specs.
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
• Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed while providing accurate estimates of time needed.
• Complete tasks in a timely manner and maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work.
• Maintain the work area in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.
