British Columbia Lottery Corporation is seeking a casino technician to maintain gaming equipment across our facilities. You will deliver an exceptional player experience by quickly addressing issues and ensuring equipment reliability.

Reporting to a Manager of Business Operations, you may travel within the region; in larger sites you may supervise others. A technical background in electronics or technology support plus hardware experience is required.

Qualificações

• Recognized technical degree or diploma in electronics or technology support.
• 3 to 4 years previous technical (hardware) experience or a related background preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and/or experience will be considered.
• Previous customer service experience is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain casino gaming equipment and related hardware in our facilities.
• Provide excellent customer service and address player-related incidents with diplomacy.
• Collaborate with stakeholders; mentor junior staff in larger facilities and operate independently in smaller ones.
• Assist with ongoing maintenance projects to ensure game integrity and revenue opportunities.

Expected Salary Range:$63,943.00 - $79,928.00 - $99,909.00

The Team

Our Operations teams are what make it all happen! They ensure our business is operating efficiently so we are able to meet our financial targets across each line of business and that no matter your game, everything is running with a high degree of integrity, efficiency and with our players top of mind. From Player Experience & Strategy, Gaming Platforms & Operations to Facilities, this group loves to execute and are dedicated to their craft. Our casino technicians are a very collaborative group, are supported by a wide range of stakeholders and a robust onboarding program.

The Role

Our technicians provide the technical expertise to maintain our casino gaming equipment in our casino facilities, deliver an exceptional experience for our players when they encounter issues and ensure we are leveraging our product to drive value for both our service providers and BCLC. Technicians collaborate and build trusting relationships with internal & external stakeholders. In larger facilities, you will assign work to others, while in smaller locations, you will operate independently. This position reports to a Manager of Business Operations and may require occasional travel to a secondary location within the region.

What you will accomplish

Complete projects to enhance player experience , perform repairs and maintenance that ensures integrity on all BCLC gaming equipment

Resolve incidents contributing to sensitive player complaints with diplomacy and tact

Complete assigned duties and contribute towards a high performing casino environment that will excite and delight our players with high revenue machines placed in prime locations

Qualifications and skills

Recognized technical degree or diploma in electronics or technology support;

3 to 4 years previous technical (hardware) experience or a related background is preferred;

An equivalent combination of education and/or experience will be considered;

Previous customer service experience is preferred.

Ability to comprehend and apply internal control concepts, verifications and procedural review requirements;

Ability to compile and analyse information and make informed decisions;

Ability to be effective working as a part of a team and individually;

Organizational skills that include attention to detail;

Ability to deal with sensitive matters with integrity and a degree of diplomacy, tact and confidentiality;

Excellent written and verbal communication skills;

Excellent problem solving, troubleshooting, and analytical thinking/innovation;

Develop an understanding of Casino operation and associated repairs;

Develop an understanding of Casino Standards, Policies and Procedures;

Develop a thorough knowledge of the gaming systems and modules, the communications rack and its functionality

Ability to work flexible hours (shift work);

Ability to work at multiple locations within a set region;

Ability to lift 25kg is required.

You will problem solve to ensure all BCLC gaming equipment is in good working condition and operational

You will provide customer service and investigate incidents related to player complaints

You will execute project plans and move machines within the casino environment, collaborate on team projects and be able to lift 25kg yourself in a safe manner

You will stay relevant with evolving technology with the various gaming equipment

It would be awesome if you also had

A strong aptitude for troubleshooting issues related to computers or electronic equipment.
