Hyundai Auto Canada Corp. seeks a skilled automotive trainer to deliver technical training to dealership technicians and Hyundai employees in Markham. The role combines hands-on instruction with classroom sessions, covering Hyundai technologies and new EV models.

You will design programs, prepare materials, and oversee the training facility, ensuring high participation and up-to-date knowledge across the dealer network. Permanent full-time position with travel up to 25%.

Qualificações

• Minimum 5–7 years in automotive training or similar roles.
• Diploma/Certificate/Trade license or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience as an automotive technical trainer is desirable.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.

Responsabilidades

• Design and deliver technical training programs for Dealership Technicians and Hyundai Corporate employees.
• Develop courses for new/modified products.
• Prepare training materials and aids (presentations, handouts, activities, assessments).
• Oversee the Zone Training Facility and assets.
• Recommend new service tools/equipment.
• Attend Hyundai-hosted training courses.
• Support development of training resources as SME.
• Assess training needs and schedule programs for dealer network.
• Maintain course registrations and maximize enrollment.
• Document training participation in LMS daily/course basis.
• Stay current on Hyundai technical and training developments.

The position’s primary purpose is to provide technical training to Hyundai dealership Technicians and company employees based on Hyundai Technologies and New Models. The trainer will demonstrate proper technique, and safety procedures, including EV technologies - through hands-on training and classroom instruction - which are essential skills for Hyundai automotive technicians.

HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT

• Design and deliver technical training programs targeting Dealership Technicians and Hyundai Corporate employees
• Assist in developing new courses relative to new and/or modified products
• Prepare training materials and aids such as presentations, flipcharts, handouts, practical activities and participant assessments & evaluations
• Oversee the Zone Training Facility and assets
• Offer recommendations on new service and repair products and special service tools/equipment
• Attend Hyundai Motor Company (“HMC”) hosted technical training courses
• Support development of Training resources as a Subject Matter Expert
• Assess training needs and work closely with the team to schedule training to best suit dealer network requirements
• Maintain course registrations by working with Zone to maximize enrollments and participation
• Report training participation in the Learning Management System on a daily/course basis
• Remain abreast of new developments, methods and techniques in Hyundai technical and training fields

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE

• 5-7 years of relevant experience in the same or similar positions
• Completion of a secondary school diploma and college, e.g., diploma /Certificate / trade license, or an equivalent combination of experience and education
• Previous experience as an automotive technical trainer would be desirable
• Excellent oral and written communication abilities
• Highly competent facilitation, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to prepare, reproduce, and deliver training materials
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
• Knowledge of adult learning principles
• Customer focused and service oriented
• Demonstrated organizational and planning skills
• Self-motivated and well organized – a continuous student of automotive technologies
• Strong automotive technical and analytical skills - required
• Solid automotive electrical theory and diagnostics skills – required
• May require occasional travel (up to 25%)

Hiring Range: $81,900 - $105,000

The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidate's relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.

Starting salary is typically offered in the lower to mid portion of the range, with placement determined by the successful candidate’s skills, experience, and internal equity considerations. Candidates with exceptional qualifications and directly relevant experience may be considered for compensation up to the maximum of the range.
