Role Description

Due to gravity9's rapid growth, we are currently seeking to make another strategic hire in North America!We are in search of an individual capable of spearheading interactions with our clients. This position entails serving as the primary contact with the accountability for delivery, fostering client relationships, and supervising the team responsible for the tasks. The responsibilities also include technical leadership, getting your hands dirty with code, and effective stakeholder management through close collaboration with clients. Throughout the engagement, the role requires working closely with the client's internal staff and product teams, serving as their strategic delivery partner and trusted advisor.

We believe small, multi-disciplinary teams are most effective in delivering complex change of this nature. As such, this is a crucial role and will require flexibility and the ability to take on different responsibilities over the lifetime of the engagement.

Key responsibilities for the role include:
  • Interaction with stakeholders, ensuring expectations are managed and business goals are understood

  • Supporting the sales team with pre-sales activities (mainly related to pre-sales architecture for potential clients and understanding their needs)

  • Accountable for the design of the solutions

  • Overseeing and managing development teams

  • At least 50% hands-on coding in Java, Node.js OR Python

  • Occasional business travel

Role requirements - technical skills and experience

This position is well-suited for a seasoned Technical Leadwith a background in leading client-facing engagements.

Must-have requirements:

  • Extensive experience in designing and building custom medium/large AND/OR enterprise applications for external clients

  • Expert in Java

  • Experience in AWS

  • Experience in MongoDB OR another NoSQL databases

  • Experience in microservices architecture

  • Experience in Python AND/OR Node.js

  • Team leading and overseeing delivery of a few distributed teams

Nice-to-have requirements:

  • Experience in Data Migrations

  • Experience in Kafka (or similar technology)
