Technical Team Lead

Our Calgary-based client is leading the way in AI-driven leadership development solutions. They are looking for a talented Development Team Lead to manage an expanding team of developers while also contributing to hands-on coding and development.

As the Development Team Lead, you'll guide and mentor a team of developers, manage agile sprints, and ensure seamless alignment between business objectives and technical execution. This role requires excellent communication, prioritization, and leadership skills in a fast-paced, startup environment.

Key Responsibilities :

• Team Leadership : Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of developers, fostering a culture of collaboration and growth.
• Hands-on Development : Actively engage in the development process, contribute to the codebase, conduct code reviews, and resolve technical issues.
• Strategic Collaboration : Work closely with the Chief Science Officer (CSO) to translate business goals into actionable technical deliverables and help drive the product roadmap.
• Infrastructure Oversight : Manage cloud infrastructure design, implementation, and optimization.
• Cross-functional Communication : Effectively communicate complex technical concepts to stakeholders, ensuring alignment between technical and non-technical teams.

Qualifications :

• 6+ years of experience in software development, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
• Proficiency with AWS cloud services and building scalable architectures.
• Familiarity with large language models (LLMs), AI tools, and model training is a plus.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-moving environment.
• Previous experience working with start-ups or as an entrepreneur is a bonus!
