The School of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering at UNSW seeks a Technical Administrator to support laboratory operations. This full-time role includes administrative tasks and coordination of resources, ideal for someone with strong organizational and communication skills. The Opportunity
The School of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering at UNSW is looking for a motivated Technical Administrator to join the technical staff team and provide effective day-to-day administrative and laboratory facility support to the Laboratory Manager. You will be responsible for acting as a point of contact for laboratory users, visitors, and contractors and maintaining effective channels of communication throughout the School laboratories. You will also coordinate service requests for laboratories through UNSW Estate Management (Archibus) and the School lab equipment booking system (ACLS).
Assisting and working with the Laboratory Manager, you will also have responsibilities to coordinate and document the management of equipment and safety documentation in UNSW’s safety compliance software, as well as assist with Teaching Lab coordination and timetabling and coordinate the purchase, receipt, and distribution of laboratory-related deliveries to the School.
This role reports to the Laboratory Manager and has no direct reports.
