Technical Support & Service Advisor - HVAC
Winnipeg, MB

We are proud to support a premier North American wholesale distributor of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning products, serving both Residential and Commercial sectors. With an expanding demand stemming from their supplier collaborations, they seek to recruit a driven Technical Support & Service Advisor. This role aims to collaborate closely with vendor partners to foster expertise in the products they distribute. The main responsibilities include offering technical assistance and delivering training sessions for both customers and staff members.

The Service Technical Support & Service Advisor will utilize exceptional communication & presentation skills to deliver training and product information to end users, contractors/technicians, and internal stakeholders at all levels within their branch infrastructure. This key leadership role will serve as an essential bridge between clients' vendor/supplier partners, their sales and branch customer service teams, and the customers they support and sell to. Responsibilities include:

  1. Work with key internal and external stakeholders to develop training sessions to educate them on equipment and their capabilities, including how to position products in the market.
  2. Establish strong relationships with customers and vendors.
  3. Develop training materials, tests, and assignments for coworkers on product platforms.
  4. Review and recommend updates to onboarding materials where information is lacking.
  5. Assist with warranty support administration for relevant HVAC product lines.
  6. Help customers via phone, email, and in person with troubleshooting, product inquiries, and technical service questions.
  7. Participate in professional organizations, conferences, networking events, and tradeshows.
  8. Support the rollout of new product lines as they develop.
  9. Provide specifications, installation, and operational materials to customers and support the engineering team.
  10. Conduct on-site training and demonstrations for customers and end-users.

Qualifications :

  • 3-5 years of direct hands-on technical experience within the HVAC sector is essential.
  • HVAC troubleshooting skills in both commercial and residential settings.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, capable of engaging with all organizational levels and vendor partners.
  • Results-driven, capable of managing multiple tasks, energetic, and self-motivated.
  • Self-starter with the motivation to develop new programs independently.
  • Strong customer-facing skills, with the ability to produce and deliver technical training presentations.
  • Proficient with multiple computer applications.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
