Overview

Technical Support Officer (SBZ/ North/ School Environment) - 1 year contract. Join the School of Business as a Technical Support Officer and play a vital role in supporting both full-time and continuing education programs.

Responsibilities
  • Setting up and maintaining Mac and PC labs for classes and events
  • Supporting classroom activities and ensuring safe use of lab equipment
  • Performing system maintenance, software updates, and network troubleshooting
  • Assisting with multimedia tasks such as video shooting, editing, and design work
  • Managing lab bookings and reporting monthly utilisation
  • Coordinating with vendors for equipment servicing and maintenance
  • Handling procurement processes and conducting bi-annual stock takes
  • Supporting administrative tasks and school-wide projects or events
  • Ensuring compliance with QEHS guidelines and procedures
  • Providing ad-hoc support as directed by the Supervisor
What Are We Looking For?
  • A minimum Diploma qualification in Digital Media, Multimedia, Infocomm Technology, or IT-related fields
  • Hands-on experience in digital content creation and IT support
  • Strong communication and administrative skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft SharePoint
  • Ability to manage both Mac and PC platforms effectively
  • Experience in video production and post-editing is a plus
  • Familiarity with lab operations and equipment maintenance
  • A collaborative mindset and ability to work independently
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
