Qualifications

  • Previous experience in an IT support role is an asset.
  • Post-secondary education in Information Technology or equivalent.

The Technical Support Assistant will be the first point of contact for technical issues, providing efficient and friendly support service. Primary responsibilities include deploying new hardware including PCs, laptops, tablets, and phones, managing user accounts, supporting business and equipment diagnostic software, and escalating issues as needed to management or external support resources.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage all technical support issues from users across multiple locations and provide resolution or escalate as needed
  2. Manage User Accounts setups, transfers, and deactivations
  3. Software installation and troubleshooting
  4. PC, Laptop, and phones set up, and troubleshooting
  5. Other duties, as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  1. Technical knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office 365
  2. Familiarity with mobile iOS and Android operating systems and devices
  3. Detail-oriented and organized
  4. Ability to multitask and manage multiple support tasks and projects simultaneously
  5. Ability to travel to locations when necessary
Training, Education, and Experience:
  1. Previous experience in an IT support role is an asset
  2. Post-secondary education in Information Technology or equivalent
Compensation Package:
  1. Salary between $40,000 - $45,000 depending on skills and qualifications
  2. Paid vacation

Working Conditions:

The Technical Support Assistant is based out of the Surrey office and works 40 hours on average per week, Monday to Friday. Some travel to other branches may be required.
