Job description

Build what matters, shape the future and Strengthen Canada.

Are you a detail driven project management professional who thrives on bringing infrastructure and environmental projects to life? Do you enjoy partnering with clients, bringing together diverse teams, and seeing a project through from concept to completion?

As a Technical Specialist, Project Management, you’ll support the delivery of a wide range of routine to moderately complex infrastructure projects. While growing your career in a collaborative and knowledge sharing environment, you will serve as a trusted technical advisor to our Client-Partner, conduct research and assessments, and help drive projects that make a real impact.

By becoming a team member of a trusted partner of the Government of Canada and the Canadian construction industry since 1951, you will have the opportunity to deliver infrastructure and environmental solutions to support Canada’s troops and the defence of the Country. DCC is proud to be the first federal, and only government organization recognized as a Gold Seal Employer under the Canadian Construction Association’s Construction Management Certification Program and proof of our commitment to excellence and professional development.

What You’ll Do
Lead Projects That Matter

You’ll manage a diverse portfolio of infrastructure and environmental projects—from new builds to unground utility upgrades to remediation initiatives. You’ll support each project from the first conversation to the final handover.

Be the Connector

Clients will look to you for insight, direction, and solutions. You’ll prepare project documentation, develop business cases, support approvals, and ensure everyone has what they need to make informed decisions by coordinating communications and facilitate timely decisions among stakeholders.

Connect People & Propel Progress

You’ll coordinate consultants, stakeholder input, help drive procurement, and keep communication flowing. When challenges arise, you’ll find creative, effective ways to keep things on track, while building strong relationships with Client-Partners, industry professionals, and internal teams.

Champion Quality & Collaboration

You’ll maintain high standards, build strong working relationships, and represent the Client-Partner when required.

Additional Responsibilities
  • Prepare monthly internal and Client-Partner reports.
  • Manage risk across assigned projects.
  • Support or lead business development activities.
  • Perform other duties as required.
Working Environment
  • Primarily office based with occasional travel.
  • Some work takes place on construction sites (basic PPE may be required).
What You’ll Bring
Education & Experience
  • Minimum: College diploma in engineering, architecture, or a related field and 4 years of relevant experience (or equivalent).
