Job Description :

Sapiens is seeking a skilled Technical Software Architect to join our team and play a key role in designing and delivering robust technical solutions.

Position Summary: Reporting to the Chief Architect of the CoreSuite for WC development group, the Technical Software Architect provides expertise to support Technology and Architecture governance in software development at Sapiens. The role involves leading design efforts for product enhancements and resolving complex architectural software issues related to insurance solutions, contributing to CoreSuite implementation and establishing best practices across distributed teams.

The ideal candidate has extensive knowledge of both commercial and open source components such as application servers, enterprise service buses, rules engines, component frameworks, messaging libraries, etc., along with a solid understanding of Java EE, UML, design patterns, data modeling, and database design.

Essential Functions / Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with IT professionals to design, develop, and implement insurance applications.
• Oversee all software-related issues and design architectural solutions.
• Identify development patterns and approaches, review architectures, and assess feasibility of software solutions.
• Conduct research on software tools and technologies, recommend technology roadmaps, and design reusable components.
• Present technical material to clients and develop related work products.
• Make architectural recommendations to management and adhere to project timelines.

Additional, Non-Essential Functions / Responsibilities:

• Resource and property management (N/A), fiscal advisory capacity.

Job Requirements, Skills, Abilities, Education / Certification / License / Training:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years of development, OO analysis and design, Java experience, and related tools.
• Strong Java technology skills, experience with frameworks like Spring Boot, Hibernate, and tools such as JBoss, Tomcat.
• Knowledge of SOA, Web Services, database design, and software design patterns.
• Experience in client presentations, technical writing, mentoring, and review.

Pluses:

• Insurance domain experience, cloud technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), UML documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Insurance domain and architecture experience, 8+ years preferred.
