Job summary

NAV CANADA is seeking Technical Services Technologists in Winnipeg (two positions) and Saskatoon (one position). The role focuses on installing, supporting and maintaining critical air navigation systems to ensure safe and efficient air traffic operations.

The successful candidates will join a team that values safety, continuous learning and teamwork, with a competitive compensation package, a defined benefit pension plan, and flexible work arrangements.

Qualifications

  • Secondary school diploma or equivalent with a tech degree in engineering/tech (Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Electronics, or equivalent)
  • Valid driver’s license

  • No aviation sector experience required

  • Install and maintain electronic systems and equipment essential to a safe and reliable Air Navigation System
  • Work as part of a team to ensure safety and reliability of NAV CANADA’s ANS

Technologists install, support and maintain the critical systems required to keep air traffic moving safely and efficiently. In order to apply for a career at NAV CANADA as a Technologist, you need to have these basic requirements:

  • Secondary school diploma or equivalent and a recognized diploma or degree in Engineering Technology, Computer Sciences, Electronics Engineering Technology or an equivalent program, completed within the last 10 years at a minimum, or equivalent work experience.
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • Some lifting required.
  • Travel for training and maintenance required.

The role does not require you to have previous experience in the aviation sector.

NOTE:

  • *NAV CANADA will provide you with a training salary that ranges from approximately $56,785 to $91,597 which is based on qualifications and experience. Once you successfully complete your training, you move to the $88,976 to $121,432 range, with increases as you gain experience and move through classification levels.
