Purpose:

Chemetics Inc. Worley Group is a diversified technology company providing design and engineering solutions to the chloralkaline, sodium chlorate, chlorine dioxide, and sulphuric acid industries worldwide. It has a 60-year history in Vancouver and operates a specialized alloy fabrication shop in Pickering, ON.

We are recruiting for a Technical Service Representative based at our Pickering facility. The role involves commissioning and turnaround inspection of process equipment and corrosion protection systems (ANOTROL), along with chemical plant service work, technical advice, and spare parts quotations. Opportunities may include expanding into engineering design or other disciplines.

Responsibilities:

• Verify equipment installation according to drawings and documents.
• Commission equipment for first operation.
• Perform turnaround inspections, troubleshooting, and related tasks.
• Prepare operating manuals.
• Train customer’s personnel on operation and maintenance.
• Prepare reports on commissioning and inspections/services.
• Interact with customers, prepare quotations, and sell proprietary spare parts.
• Willing to travel internationally.

What you will bring:

Technical and Industry Experience:

• Understanding of process equipment, electrical control systems, mechanical aptitude, metallurgy, and good communication skills. Outgoing personality and strong work ethic are assets.

Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:

• University Engineering Degree (E.I.T. level) or College Technician/Tecnologist diploma in mechanical or materials disciplines.
