Inthe role asour Technical Sales Support,your mission will be tounderstand customer requirements and support the sales efforts to increase the sales and market presence of the company as the primary technical resource for internal and external customers, supporting the evaluation and selection of product. Communicate customer requirements to co-workers and management andmaintain accurate and updated customer account records to ensure the best possible service is provided.

This position will be based out ofour Edmonton facility in Alberta, Canada. Relocation is not being offered for this position.

As the Technical Sales Supporton our team, you will

  • Support thesales efforts by creating, reviewing, validating and processing sales documents (quotes, orders, etc.)
  • Be a point of contact for clients (inside and outside) with inquiries about products, orders, and deliveries.
  • Provide thehighest level of service to the Nord-Lock Group’s customers in conformance with established company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and up to date customer records to ensure the best possible service is provided.
  • Assist with interpretation of parts drawings and customer specifications.

Requirements

  • Technical Diploma, trade certificateor equivalent in a technical field with a minimum of3 years of experience
  • Exposure to heavy industry such as Oil and Gas, Refining, Power Generation, Mining, etc. is preferred.
  • Detail-oriented and strong interpersonal skills with ability to communicate and develop relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent time management skills, including email and telephone correspondence.
  • Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office. Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and / or Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and be willing to learn and improve in all skill areas.
  • Proven record of operating within a team.
  • Must be able to read and understand technical drawings and documents.
  • Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines.
  • Ability to demonstrate effective interpersonal skills, as well as sound judgement, professionalism, confidentiality and good decision-making skills.
  • Must be able to effectively organize and prioritize a high volume of work.
  • Must be able to communicate effective and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
