Summary

We are currently recruiting for a Technical Sales Specialist for our Measurement Instrumentation (MI) Business Unit, to join the Outside Sales team in Fort McMurray. The successful candidate will be an integral part of our talented team, representing the MI BU in proactive sales pursuits, supporting the Oil Sands significant install base of wireless and traditional measurement equipment. While gaining industry specific knowledge, expertise and experience.

Role And Responsibilities

  • Proactively pursue business and applications with our customers in Oil Sands
  • Maintain and aggressively build relationships with our customers and communicate our current offerings of products and services
  • Champion key initiatives on behalf of the MI Business
  • Have a strong understanding of multiple measurement technologies and their process applications
  • Work to become an expert (technology champion) in a narrow range of measurement technologies
  • Drive growth and deliver bookings goals for the Business Unit
  • Work closely with our Account Managers and be a contributing member to our sales team
  • Manage relationships with our Principals, understanding their available products, services, and business strategies
  • Engage with all aspects of Spartan and Principals’ delivery, to ensure customer satisfaction and continued preference
  • Support MI and multi-business unit solution development
Qualifications And Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or other related discipline, or a Technical Diploma
  • 2+ years related industry experience
  • Ability to develop and deliver presentations and training material
  • Demonstrated Customer Service and Sales with industrial customers
  • Strong technical problem solving skills
  • Strong communication, time management and organizational skills
  • Familiarity with MS Office software including Outlook, Calendar, Word, Power Point, Excel
  • Positive team contributor and collaborator
  • Positive can-do attitude
  • Entrepreneurial work ethic
  • Valid driver’s license and passport, as travel is required
