Job description

The Opportunity

Accountable for growing industry revenues within Top industry account portfolios and driving the acquisition of new large accounts ($60K - $500K). Lead the sales strategy and plan, including customer target accounts, prospecting, sales lead follow-up, and maintaining strong relationships with existing customers. Retain and grow business relationships with Top accounts by proactively identifying opportunities, presenting innovative solutions, and overcoming obstacles with drive, passion, and resilience.

The Role

  1. Source and prospect new clients continually; conduct sales calls, including cold calls and lead and referral follow-up to present product solutions and increase sales in the assigned territory.
  2. Identify and build relationships with decision-makers within existing accounts, creating ongoing relationship strategies, cultivating partnerships, and establishing Wajax as a trusted advisor.
  3. Drive key account growth through engineered services.
  4. Review and provide input on target client opportunities, ensuring alignment with overall account strategy.
  5. Forecast, deliver, and adjust accounts to ensure success against contract terms.
  6. Coordinate with product experts to identify and capitalize on expansion and cross-selling opportunities within existing accounts.
  7. Conduct follow-up with customers on orders, quotes, and services; undertake activities to ensure sales, such as sourcing competitor information and analyzing competitor products, applications, and pricing to overcome client objections.
  8. Develop proposals and quotes based on client needs, specifications, and product offerings.
  9. Ensure full compliance with Impact sales process and CRM tools (Salesforce).

The Candidate

  • Education: Bachelor Degree / College Diploma, Technical Engineering preferred.
  • Work Experience: Minimum 4 years with a proven track record in attaining/exceeding account management and sales goals through the promotion of process equipment including mechanical equipment, instrumentation products, and process pumps.
  • Knowledge: Leadership level industry experience and knowledge of broad industry sectors such as mining, pulp and paper, and municipal markets.
  • Proficiency: Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
