Mississauga, ON (Field based - Remote)

We are looking for a Technical Sales Representative (ECT-Chemetall) to join our Coatings team in Mississauga, ON and Greater Toronto Area.

This position represents the Company by contacting established and prospective customers in an assigned territory for the purpose of selling Chemetall surface treatment chemicals. This individual will provide complete sales and service which ensures safe quality product performance while maximizing profitability within their assigned territory.

As a Technical Sales Representative (ECT-Chemetall), you create chemistry by...
  • Understanding the business activities of accounts in the territory and applies knowledge of the customer’s internal operation to tailor sales presentations and sales proposals to the account’s specific needs.
  • Managing territory profitability by reviewing territory contribution margins, providing margin improvement by product selection and optimum pricing.
  • Developing a structured weekly call itinerary to optimize time management and ensure comprehensive coverage of territories.
  • Selecting the process and the right material to solve customer cleaning, sanitation or surface treatment problems.
  • Collaborating closely with customers to foster strong business relationships.
  • Providing information on new products, methods, techniques, and safety while training customers on the proper use of Chemetall materials.
  • Improving technical knowledge of Chemetall materials through self-study and participation in professional societies.
  • Maintaining records of the activities in the territory as required by management.
If you have...
  • A BS Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Engineering, or Business is required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relatable experience is required.
  • B2B/outside industrial sales experience, in specialty chemical sales preferred.
  • An ability to make sales presentations and follow up with written proposals.
  • Strong business acumen and excellent organization skills.
  • A customer acquisition mentality for new customer acquisition and continuous up-/cross-selling opportunities.
  • Technical consulting capabilities regarding products and processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Travel for this position can be up to 50-60%, with occasional overnight travel within your territory.
  • Valid driver's license in good standing.
