The Opportunity

Accountable for growing industry revenues within top industry account portfolios and driving the acquisition of large new accounts ($60K - $500K). Lead the sales strategy and plan, including customer target accounts, prospecting, sales lead follow-up, and maintaining strong relationships with existing customers. Retain and grow business relationships with top accounts by proactively identifying opportunities and presenting innovative solutions.

The Role

  1. Source and prospect new clients continually; conduct sales calls, including cold calls and follow-up on leads and referrals, to present product solutions and increase sales in the assigned territory.
  2. Identify and build relationships with decision-makers within existing accounts, creating an ongoing relationship strategy, cultivating partnerships, and establishing Wajax as a trusted advisor.
  3. Review and provide input on target client opportunities, ensuring alignment with the overall account strategy.
  4. Forecast, deliver, and adjust accounts to ensure success against contract terms.
  5. Coordinate with product experts to identify and capitalize on expansion and cross-selling opportunities within existing accounts.
  6. Conduct follow-up with customers on orders, quotes, and services requested; undertake activities to ensure sales, such as sourcing competitor information and analyzing competitor products, application, and pricing to overcome client objections.
  7. Develop proposals and quotes based on client needs, specifications, and product offerings.
  8. Ensure full compliance with the Impact sales process and CRM tools (Salesforce).

The Candidate

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or college diploma (preferred).
  • Work Experience: Minimum of 4 years with a proven record of attaining/exceeding account management and sales goals.
  • Knowledge: Industrial parts such as bearings, power transmission, hydraulics considered an asset.
  • Proficiency: Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
