The Opportunity
Accountable for growing industry revenues within top industry account portfolios and driving the acquisition of large new accounts ($60K - $500K). Lead the sales strategy and plan, including customer target accounts, prospecting, sales lead follow-up, and maintaining strong relationships with existing customers. Retain and grow business relationships with top accounts by proactively identifying opportunities and presenting innovative solutions.
The Role
- Source and prospect new clients continually; conduct sales calls, including cold calls and follow-up on leads and referrals, to present product solutions and increase sales in the assigned territory.
- Identify and build relationships with decision-makers within existing accounts, creating an ongoing relationship strategy, cultivating partnerships, and establishing Wajax as a trusted advisor.
- Review and provide input on target client opportunities, ensuring alignment with the overall account strategy.
- Forecast, deliver, and adjust accounts to ensure success against contract terms.
- Coordinate with product experts to identify and capitalize on expansion and cross-selling opportunities within existing accounts.
- Conduct follow-up with customers on orders, quotes, and services requested; undertake activities to ensure sales, such as sourcing competitor information and analyzing competitor products, application, and pricing to overcome client objections.
- Develop proposals and quotes based on client needs, specifications, and product offerings.
- Ensure full compliance with the Impact sales process and CRM tools (Salesforce).
The Candidate
- Education: Bachelor's degree or college diploma (preferred).
- Work Experience: Minimum of 4 years with a proven record of attaining/exceeding account management and sales goals.
- Knowledge: Industrial parts such as bearings, power transmission, hydraulics considered an asset.
- Proficiency: Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
