Job summary

Centrix Control Solutions in Calgary is seeking a Technical Sales Representative to promote and support our product lines within the Oil & Gas and Light Industrial markets. You will manage an assigned territory that includes Calgary and parts of Southern Alberta, engaging EPCs, OEMs and end users.

You will act as the account manager, pursue new business, provide technical product support, deliver seminars, and drive sales growth.

Qualifications

  • Degree or diploma in Engineering preferred.
  • Minimum five years of technical sales experience in Oil & Gas and Light Industrial.
  • Familiarity with control valves and relief valves is advantageous.
  • Clean driver’s abstract and commitment to safety required.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the Account Manager for an established customer base.
  • Pursue new business opportunities to grow market share.
  • Provide technical product support and promote Centrix services.
  • Deliver internal and external product seminars and presentations.

About the Role

Centrix Control Solutions has an immediate opening for a Technical Sales Representative responsible for promoting and supporting our world-class product lines. Based out of our Calgary office, the successful candidate will manage an assigned territory encompassing Calgary and a portion of Southern Alberta, working with a diverse customer base that includes EPCs, OEMs, and end users.This role is primarily focused on Oil & Gas accounts with some exposure into Light Industrial markets.

The customer base includes:

  • Corporate Head Offices
  • Engineering Firms
  • Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs)

The Technical Sales Representative will promote a broad portfolio of products, including measurement, flow control, pressure management, and safety devices, as well as water and wastewater equipment and specialized piping solutions.

We are seeking a candidate with experience supporting customers in the Oil & Gas, and Light Industrial markets.

  • Key responsibilities include:
    • Acting as the Account Manager for an established customer base
    • Actively pursuing new business opportunities to grow installed product market share
    • Providing technical product support and promoting Centrix service offerings
    • Delivering internal and external product seminars and presentations
    • Driving sales growth and profitability within the assigned territory
    • Liaising with principal manufacturers
    • Participating in relevant industry associations
  • Other contributions include:
    • Self-motivated, independent individual with the drive to constantly learn and promote new sales
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Computer skills; Microsoft Office suite.
    • De-escalate and resolve problems and issues.
    • Ability to communicate and interact with customers in a professional manner.
    • Ability to travel out of town and overnight as required.
    • Ability to travel to the USA as required
Who We’re Looking For
  • A degree or diploma in Engineering, Mechanical, Instrumentation, or a related technical diploma is preferred.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in technical sales, ideally within the Oil & Gas Industry and Light Industrial sector.
  • Familiarity with control valves and relief valves is highly advantageous.
  • A clean driver’s abstract and a demonstrated commitment to safety are required.
