Position : Technical Sales Rep (Civil Engineering Background – Entry to Intermediate Level)

Our client, located in the Greater Barrie Area, is seeking a Technical Sales Representative to join their North American team. This role is ideal for someone with a background in civil engineering who is looking to break into technical sales or business development - no prior sales experience is required.

What You’ll Be Doing :

• Engage with engineers, architects, specifiers, and other stakeholders to provide technical support on product usage and applications
• Identify new leads, qualify prospects, and build long-term relationships within the construction and manufacturing sectors
• Help clients integrate the company’s products into their designs and specifications
• Represent the company at industry trade shows, networking events, and client meetings
• Support marketing efforts including presentations, collateral development, and product education
• Collaborate with internal teams and external distributors to support business development goals

What We're Looking For :

• Degree in Civil Engineering (or related field)
• Experience in or exposure to the construction, design, or building materials industry is an asset
• Strong communication skills and a natural ability to build rapport
• Interest in transitioning into sales, business development, or technical consulting
• Ability to travel occasionally for client visits and industry events
• Highly motivated, self-directed, and eager to grow professionally
