Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic Technical Sales Engineer who will be pivotal in driving the growth and market adoption of our cutting-edge prefabricated building system. As the sole dedicated sales professional, you will leverage your engineering knowledge and strong sales acumen to build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders including developers, architects, engineers, and design consultants. You will be instrumental in rapidly securing new projects and facilitating the growth of our small but ambitious team.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Sales Leadership:
- Aggressively identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities by developing relationships with industry stakeholders.
- Present and customize DALI’s prefab solutions to effectively meet client needs, clearly demonstrating structural benefits and efficiencies.
Consultative Client Engagement:
- Take ownership of complex, high-value sales processes—capable of leading independently while actively collaborating with internal teams to ensure successful project execution."
- Act as the primary technical resource and trusted advisor to clients, ensuring long-term satisfaction and repeat business.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate closely with design, engineering, manufacturing, and estimating teams to deliver client-specific solutions.
- Work with our lean team structure to develop targeted marketing collateral, proposals, and sales presentations.
- Provide essential feedback and support for the continuous improvement of our products and internal processes.
Technical Training & Education:
- Educate and train clients on the technical details of our prefabricated systems.
- Offer ongoing technical support to maintain high client satisfaction.
Market Analysis & Strategic Planning:
- Regularly perform market analysis to strategically identify and capitalize on emerging opportunities.
- Develop and execute aggressive sales strategies aimed at rapid market penetration and sustained growth.
- Utilize CRM (HubSpot) and analytics tools to track and forecast sales, manage pipeline effectively, and regularly report progress to senior leadership.
- Continuously refine sales strategies based on market feedback and performance data.
Professional Representation:
- Actively represent DALI Prefab at industry events, trade shows, and professional networking opportunities to enhance our brand visibility and generate new leads.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering and additional certifications are desirable.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in technical sales, focusing on structural systems—ideally within the construction, prefabrication, or architectural industries—demonstrating the ability to lead complex sales cycles and influence project outcomes from concept to execution.
- Strong existing network within mid-rise and commercial construction sectors preferred.
- Exceptional consultative selling and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple projects independently.
- Proficiency in CRM systems, digital presentation tools, and sales analytics.
- Excellent communication skills capable of clearly translating technical solutions into compelling sales propositions.
Added Qualifications:
- Experience in prefabrication, modular construction, or innovative structural systems is a strong asset.
- Familiarity with sustainable design practices and current building codes/regulations.
- Expect a dynamic blend of in-office focus and field engagement, with approximately 20% travel for client meetings, site visits, and industry events.
- Role offers a balance between independent productivity and external relationship building, contributing to a fast-paced, growth-driven environment.
