We are looking for a Technical Sales Consultant to join our Renewable Energy sales team to help us meet these goals both now and into the future.

What You’ll Work On
This role expands the sales of Campbell Scientific products by generating new business and ensuring the growth of existing customer accounts. The Technical Sales Consultant assesses the potential application of Campbell Scientific products and services and offers solutions that meet those customers’ needs. Additionally, this role educates customers and communicates customer feedback for future product development, while using technical knowledge of our products and service offerings to support and build sales. Additionally, as part of this role you will:
- Drive sales growth by identifying client needs, offering tailored solutions, and leveraging industry experience and contacts.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, new prospects, and market stakeholders and act as a trusted advisor.
- Represent the company through client visits, product education, and active management of Value-Added Resellers (VARs) and Integrators.
- Contribute to internal strategies by providing market feedback, assisting with product development, and creating support materials (e.g., case studies, brochures, courses).
- Respond promptly to client inquiries, prepare quotes, and ensure timely delivery of bids, projects, and assigned tasks.
- Design and configure complex data acquisition systems and networked solutions, while monitoring market trends to maintain competitive offerings.
What We’re Looking For
- Completion of related post secondary education in technology, environmental science, energy, engineering, business, or a related field (relevant experience may substitute for formal education).
- Experience in solar/wind energy resource assessment or monitoring projects, with knowledge of renewable energy instruments (e.g., pyranometers, anemometers) preferred.
- Hands-on experience with electronic remote measurement equipment; familiarity with telecommunications, basic electrical circuits, and programming concepts is an asset.
- Proficient in CRM tools and comfortable working with technical equipment and data systems.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and customer-focused with strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent written, oral, and presentation abilities (French language skills are an asset).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, computer networking protocols, and general computer use.

Work Environment
- Primarily office-based role involving computer work and customer interaction via email and phone.
Physical Requirements
- Occasional travel (20–25%) required for conferences, client visits, training, and site work; environments may include airports, vehicles, trade shows, and field locations.
- Must be physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, navigating stairs, and walking or standing for extended periods, including on uneven terrain.
