About Us:
The employer is a growing design consultancy delivering high-quality CAD drafting solutions for
structural steel, architectural detailing, pressure vessel, and skid design. We serve clients across
Canada and the United States, providing precise, efficient, and scalable drafting solutions. As our
presence expands, we are seeking a Technical Sales Associate to help drive business development
efforts across North America.

Position Summary:
The Technical Sales Associate will report directly to the Director of Operations and play a key role
in generating new business, managing client relationships, and promoting the employer’s
service offerings. This position requires a strategic blend of sales drive and technical
understanding, ideally from within the CAD, AEC (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction),
EPC ((Engineering, Procurement, and Construction), or engineering services sectors.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead Generation & Outreach
o Identify and pursue new business opportunities via direct outreach (email, phone,
LinkedIn)
o Develop and maintain a qualified pipeline of prospects in the US and Canadian markets
• Client Engagement & Solution Selling
o Conduct discovery calls and client presentations to understand needs and propose
service-based solutions
o Prepare customized proposals and pricing packages in collaboration with technical teams
• Sales Execution
o Meet and exceed individual sales targets and contribute to company-wide growth
objectives
o Track activities and opportunities using CRM systems
• Industry Insight & Market Feedback
o Stay current with trends in structural steel, pressure vessel, and skid design services
o Provide client feedback and market intelligence to internal stakeholders

• Internal Collaboration:
o Coordinate with CAD and engineering teams to ensure successful handover and project
execution
o Support marketing and outreach campaigns, including events and trade shows
Qualifications
• 4+ years of experience in B2B technical sales, preferably in CAD, AEC, EPC, or engineering
services would be an asset
• Degree or diploma in Engineering, Architecture, or a related technical field is preferred
• Applicants with a business background and strong technical aptitude will also be
considered
• Proficiency in CAD-related software and terminology (AutoCAD, Tekla, Revit, etc.) is an
asset
• Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and competitive
positioning
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to simplify complex concepts for
various audiences
• Excellent presentation skills would be critical for success in this role
• Willingness to travel within Canada and the U.S. for client meetings and industry events
• Self-motivated, client-focused, and capable of working independently
