About the Role

We are seeking to add an Industrial Instrument Mechanic to our team in Kelowna. The role's responsibilities would include instrumentation installation, set-up, annual calibrations, start-up, commissioning, customer relations, and other related duties. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with electrical, instrumentation, and controls industry experience.

Here's a Snapshot of How You'll Contribute to Our Team

  • Installation and set up of Analog, Profibus instruments for industrial instrumentation and automation projects for the municipal water & wastewater industries.
  • Selection and specification of instrumentation equipment and any related installations.
  • Design and layout for custom instrument installation.
  • Chlorine Gas equipment servicing including regulators, ejectors, and complete system overhauls and repairs.
  • Gas environment monitoring system servicing, calibration, documentation, and repairs.
  • Site-specific control troubleshooting including PLC panel wiring, programming system-specific problems.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical/Instrumentation Technology/Technician Diploma.
  • Experience with PLCs, including Allen Bradley, Schneider Electric, Automation Direct, and various other brands.
  • Experience in programming and configuration of HMIs including C-More, Panel-View, and various other brands.
  • Experience with instrument rebuilding including regulators, control valves, gauge calibrations, and basic instrumentation skills.
  • Experience with gas monitoring systems.
  • Experience with AutoCAD software and development of control panel layouts & wiring schematics.
  • Familiarity with electrical, instrumentation, controls, and SCADA systems as they relate to municipal water and wastewater systems.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications.
  • Good written and oral communication.
  • Team player, flexible, self-motivated.
  • Willingness to travel when required.
