Adecco is currently hiring a Part-time proactive and organized Technical Regulatory and Compliance Advisor to support our client’s Indigenous Relations team with regulatory filings, compliance tracking, and internal coordination in Calgary, AB. This position plays a key role in ensuring that all consultation and engagement activities align with regulatory expectations and timelines. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, collaborative, and experienced in managing documentation and communications across multiple stakeholders.

  • Pay Rate: $68.00/hour (based on experience)
  • Shift: Monday to Friday
  • Job type: Temporary | Part-time | 20h per week

Responsibilities:

  • Draft and coordinate reviews for Indigenous Relations, including initial data gathering, resource coordination, content development, timeline management, and approval processes.
  • Maintain records of commercial agreements, approval conditions, regulatory compliance, permits, and information requests.
  • Facilitate communication between internal teams and respond to inquiries from regulatory bodies (e.g., CER, BCEAO, Alberta Consultation Office) and Indigenous communities.
  • Assist the Manager, Indigenous Relations in developing regulatory and compliance work plans to ensure obligations are met within legal and time-sensitive frameworks.
  • Communicate regulatory requirements, deadlines, amendments, and permitting details across all teams.
  • Support the creation of regulatory filings, Records of Consultation (ROCs), and compliance submissions.

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in Regulatory Affairs, Indigenous Studies, Environmental Science, Public Administration, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in regulatory compliance, Indigenous relations, or project coordination—preferably in the natural resources or energy sector.
  • Knowledge of Canadian regulatory bodies and frameworks (e.g., CER, BCEAO, ACO).
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with document tracking or regulatory compliance tools.
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams and maintaining accurate records for legal or regulatory purposes.
  • Understanding of Indigenous consultation processes and sensitivity to Indigenous perspectives and protocols is an asset.
  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
