Job summary

Electronic Theatre Controls is seeking a Technical Projects Co-Op for an 8-9 month term beginning January 2027 or May 2027. The role is full-time during the co-op period, with responsibilities spanning product support, testing, and workshop coordination.

The candidate will work closely with R&D and Manufacturing, gaining hands-on experience with lighting systems and ETC tools, while delivering reliable technical support to internal customers and training events.

Qualifications

• Must have completed high school and pursuing a technology-related degree
• Strong understanding of lighting systems and basic computer skills
• Customer service experience is preferred
• Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively
• Knowledge of ETC product lines is a plus

Responsibilities

• Support ETC and other products
• Maintain a shared test space and equipment
• Familiarize with department tools and applications
• Set up test systems to simulate field issues
• Test material and software to evaluate issues
• Provide technical support to internal customers
• Support ETC Summer Workshop and Technical Service training events
• Ensure training workshops are well prepared and attendees are educated
• Perform hardware and software upgrades as required
• Carry out upgrades to meet customer requirements
• Complete follow-up documentation
• Coordinate with R&D and Manufacturing
• Project ETC professionally and enthusiastically to stakeholders
• Perform other duties as assigned
